Post Electirc seat power.
Just about to start investigating my non functioning seats over the next few days and was wondering if they were powered by a 'standard' 12v power feed to the motors or, does it go via an ECU/Controller?

Check the wire from the harness under the seat first for power. If you have power then it's the switches which is a common problem. If no power, then consult the fuse chart on 928 specialists site and see if there is a fuse to that wire. I print out the fuse/relay chart and put it in the glovebox.

I think I've sorted out the problem. There appears to be a cable missing, hence no power. It looks like there should be a cable going from the floorpan pin socket (picture attached) to the corresponding socket on the seat.
Are they easy to get hold of?

Also, on my drivers seat, the seat appears to be stuck above the mounting runners so I can't remove the seat. Is there a way of winding it back/forward manually?

Is this a pic of your car? There is supposebly a way to manually move an electrical seat, but I haven't seen what people are saying. I have done it by unclipping the corresponding cable to a drill doing it that way, the problem is that it moves one side, so you have to keep alternating. There has to be a way to do this from the gear that connects both those cables I am talking about. Try and post pics of under your seat.

I'll phone Porsche during the week and see if they can tell me how to manually move the seat.
The picture is of my passenger side and the black plug shown in the picture is the one I assume carries power to my seat. That's the cable I'll need to source and replace.
